Moorambilla Voices Gala Concert

28th and 29th September 2024

A concert showcasing the choral, dance and artistic work of the 2024 Moorambilla ensembles’ including new music by Andrew Howes, Liz Jigalin, Christine Chen and Oliver John Cameron. My piece Yuku Papurana (Paarkintji for ‘the sun is coming out from behind clouds’) will be performed by the Year 5 and 6 Birray ensemble and includes a song co-composed by the boys, Don’t Mess With the Caterpillars, inspired by the artistic immersion at Mutawintji National Park.

All Aboard With Beethoven - River City Voices

In 2024 I have been the Assistant Conductor of River City Voices based in Western Sydney. This role has afforded me the opportunity to develop my conducting skills under the mentorship of Dr Sarah Penicka-Smith.

After the Shipwreck - ABC Classic Commission

November 2024

'After the Shipwreck' will be a new song cycle for tenor, viola and piano with poetry by Luke Patterson and music by Oliver John Cameron.

This is a song cycle that describes nature's forces, sits uneasily in the calmness that follows a catastrophe, and ponders life's fragility in a world forever changed–a means of processing and making sense of the flotsam and jetsam left in the wake of a critical moment in this land's history.
